Call for Speakers 2014 Season
London & Region Fund Raising Executives (LRFRE) is an association of professionals engaged in fund raising efforts in London, Ontario’s charitable sector.
Founded in the early 1990’s, LRFRE has a long-standing presence in London. Through our monthly professional development and networking sessions, we are committed to providing the best resources for fund raising professionals in London and the surrounding region.
LRFRE Membership is a unique opportunity for professionals engaged in fund raising efforts in the charitable sector to network, share ideas, and learn.
LRFRE is seeking speakers to present current topics of interest to our members in 2014. The 2014 season will consist of breakfast sessions and lunchtime sessions.
Session Formats:
Presentation: To hear from and be inspired/challenged/informed by a speaker with significant skill and experience. To explore a current topic of interest with other professionals.
Outcome: A thought-provoking, highly-professional presentation with the objective of learning or upgrading a specific fundraising skill.
Speaker Requirements: Expertise in the subject matter; experience delivering lectures/presentations; references as a speaker facilitating group discussion; Knowledge of subject/topic; Ability to maintain objectivity while creating a stimulating, inclusive discussion environment
LRFRE Audience level: Small shop fundraisers to specialists from large organizations

Successful applicants will have a minimum of 3 years of experience and are current LRFRE members, in good standing.

THE LRFRE MENTORING PROGRAM:
SHARPEN YOUR SKILLS. EXPLORE YOUR POTENTIAL.
Attention all LRFRE members! The LRFRE Executive Committee is pleased to launch the 2013 Mentoring Program. This is your chance to get one-on-one access to senior fundraising professionals, share best practices and develop your skills as a non-profit leader.
The Mentoring Program will run from February to June 2013. The program is free and only open to mentees who are LRFRE members.

We are making a little change to the LRFRE monthly session schedule. Please note that our June 21st networking lunch has been cancelled. The end of June seems to be a very busy time for our members. Our monthly networking sessions will resume after the Summer months in September.

We have booked the next LRFRE Conference for May 30, 2013 and we are seeking volunteers to be apart of the planning committee. There are roles both as leading a sub committee or sitting on a sub committee.
The sub committees are:
Programming:
Develop the core content for the conference; plan the sessions, book speakers, as well as, liaison with speakers prior to and on the day of the conference
Logistics:
Oversee the smooth running of the day’s events, including:
Sponsorship:
Connect with new sponsors and build relationships with past supporters to raise necessary operating funds for the conference
Marketing & Communications:
Develop the conference communication theme and roll out the marketing plan. Includes website coordination, social media, print materials and email communication
